WHO THIS IS FOR

Four to twelve months, on contract.

Valmara 1935 offers fully furnished apartments under Spain's
Ley de Arrendamientos Urbanos, article 3.2 - the framework
for stays of a defined period, with a primary residence elsewhere.
We are not a holiday rental and we are not a hotel.

Relocations.

Settling into Valencia ahead of a longer move. Finding the
right neighborhood, the right school, the right rhythm.

Remote work and projects.

A defined-period assignment. A sabbatical. A season of
working from a different latitude.

Studies and life transitions.

A research stay, a postgraduate term, a quiet year between
chapters.

THE BUILDING

A house with one hundred years of memory.

The building was completed in 1935 on Gran Vía Marqués
del Túria, on the corner of Calle Salamanca. A Mediterranean
rationalist façade with original wrought-iron balconies, a
marble entry hall, and the neoclassical plaster ceiling rosette
that became our mark.

The street sits in the heart of Valencia's Gran Vía, the part of the city Valencia lives in rather than visits: tree-lined, residential, quietly lively. Specialty cafés, bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies, and a metro station are all within a five-minute walk.

And because Valencia is flat, the whole city opens from here on foot or by bicycle. The Turia Gardens, the nine-kilometer car-free park that runs the length of the city, and the Palau de la Música are a block from the door, across the avenue.

The Mercado de Colón is eight minutes on foot, the City of Arts and Sciences six blocks, and Valencia's main railway stations, including high-speed AVE service, about twenty minutes on foot. The Malvarrosa beach is fifteen to twenty minutes by bicycle along the Turia, or by the 95 bus, which stops at the building's door. Almost nothing here asks for a car.

This is not a hotel. This is a house that opens its rooms
for a season.

THE NAME

Three roots, one Mediterranean breath.

Valmara is built from Latin and Mediterranean syllables that travelers, foreigners, and Spanish-speakers all hear at once.

VAL

Valencia. Valor.

From Latin valere, to be strong, to thrive. The first syllable
of the city itself. Place and virtue, in one sound.

ALMA

Soul. Spirit.

Hidden inside the word: V·ALMA·RA. What makes a building
feel alive once you cross its threshold.

MAR

Sea. Mediterranean.

The breath that defines this latitude. Salt air, blue light,
the Sunday market. Valencia is a Mediterranean city before
it is anything else.
